not just accept conventional terms and the
conventional way of doing things."

In a small bathroom make every inch count. We designed this custom built-in to take advantage of a narrow unused space beside an old chimney in the wall cavity. It has both open storage for every day items and concealed storage for unsightlies such as toilet paper. We brought more light into the windowless space by installing a Solatube tubular daylighting system. The Solatube captures light through a dome on the roof and channels it down through an internal reflective system. A salvaged door was retrofitted with a salvaged pebbled glass panel. The opaque antique glass brings in light from an adjoining hallway while maintaining privacy. This bathroom also features a dual-flush toilet and a salvaged clawfoot bathtub and medicine cabinet from Restore. |

Check out Buckminster Green on the new Brownstoner Philadelphia blog. Brownstoner featured photos from a recent Buckminster Green kitchen remodel and asked their readers what they thought. Read the comments section for opinions on the kitchen design as well as some Philadelphia vs. Brooklyn bickering. |
