Some people remodel their home one room or one floor at a time. While this describes some of Buckminster Green’s remodeling projects in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, many projects we do are whole-house remodels. A minor whole-house renovation would be called for when a house has been generally well cared for, but the finishes are dated and the owner wants to make some changes to layout. Kitchen and bathrooms will be remodeled, systems will be updated in places, floors will be replaced or refinished, and the whole house will be painted. A major full-house remodel will include all of the above as well as new systems, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. While we always work to save and restore as much of the existing character as possible, room layout will change in places, and windows and some doors will be replaced or restored. Stair layout may change. There will be exterior work like repointing brick and reroofing. The work may include an addition.
When paired with our prepurchase consulting, working with a design-build remodeler is the most efficient way to complete a whole-house remodel on a residence you are buying so you can move into your dream home. When you renovate your entire home, you make an old place feel new again. From the first walkthrough with your Realtor, to the final walkthrough before you move in, the team at Buckminster Green will guide you with 20 years of experience and an eye for design. Our designers will keep the elements you love and update the things you don’t, so that the home feels like yours.
